What a strange thing to do, announcing the next year's winner before the 2008 winner has received his prize... Apart from that, Barenboim sure is a worthy winner.
Agreed, I found the timing odd as well. But I am looking forward to the concerts he will HAVE to give ind Denmark next spring. Could be really fun (but not very likely) to have him conduct an opera as well.. I suppose the trees dont´t grow into heaven after all..
