Upcoming: Boris Godunov in Dresden with René Pape and John Tomlinson

Christian Pade directs the new production of Boris Godunov, which will open on December 17th in Dresden. Pade previously directed Khovanshchina in Frankfurt, where he partly transferred the action to the present-day criminal anarchy in Russia, parallelling Russia of today with that of the Czars.

Sebastian Weigle conducts the 1869 original version. René Pape is Boris, John Tomlinson is Pimen.
